The ABMAN is a compact, lightweight tool designed by a farming family in Southland, New Zealand, specifically to open plastic barrels, chemical drums, and tight bungs. Developed by the Baker family from Blackmount as a school project to safely open chlorine drums at a community pool without straining. It is named "ABMAN" because its shape resembles a small stick figure man, with the "arms" and "legs" providing the necessary leverage and notches to grip various drum caps. Made from reinforced plastic, it is a multi-pronged tool with legs that can fit different sized barrel bungs, ideal for the dairy industry, which uses drums of chemicals.
